How do we define responsible gambling?
Three ideas sit at the centre of it. Players are adults: we accept customers aged 18 and over and confirm their age and identity. Players keep control: how much and how long you play is yours to limit, and you can pause or close your account at any moment. Help is close at hand: when gambling begins to cause harm, finding support should never be a struggle.
There is a fourth point that matters just as much. Responsible play starts with playing only where it is lawful. Gambling laws in the UAE are strict, so check the law where you live and the Excluded Jurisdictions in our terms before you create an account, and do not play if the law does not allow it.
Challenges, Tournaments, the Shop and the VIP Club exist to make the experience more enjoyable. Not one of them should ever lead you to spend more or play longer than you intended. If you feel that happening, reach for the tools below.
Which tools help you stay in charge of your play?
Deposit limits
Choose the most you are able to deposit in a day, a week or a month. When you hit that figure, deposits stop until the period starts again. A lower limit applies immediately, whereas raising or removing one only takes effect after a waiting period, so the change is never made on impulse.
Loss limits
This tool caps what you can lose during a period you choose, worked out as deposits minus withdrawals. It suits players who would rather think about the amount they are prepared to lose than about the amount they pay in.
Session reminders and time limits
A reality check pops up to tell you how long you have been playing, while a session limit signs you out once the time you set runs out. Together they help you spot the moment when "just five more minutes" has quietly become an hour.
Cooling-off period
A short pause that can last anywhere from one day to several weeks. The account stays locked from start to finish and cannot be reopened ahead of time. It is the right choice when you need a break but are not ready for a long-term decision.
Self-exclusion
A longer block, typically six months or more. While it runs you cannot log in, deposit or play, and all marketing stops. It cannot be lifted early. When the period is over, the account does not spring back to life by itself; you need to contact us, and we may ask a few questions before reactivating it.
Account closure
If you have decided you no longer want to play with us, ask live chat to close your account. Any balance left over will be paid out to you in line with our terms.
Many of these tools can be switched on in your account settings, and our support team can apply every one of them for you through live chat. Limit and exclusion requests always go to the front of the queue.
Which signs suggest gambling is becoming a problem?
Problems with gambling usually creep in gradually rather than all at once. Be honest with yourself about whether any of the following ring true:
- You end up spending more time or money gambling than you planned.
- You chase losses, trying to recover money that has already gone.
- You borrow, sell belongings or leave bills unpaid so you can gamble.
- Cutting back leaves you restless or short-tempered.
- You gamble to get away from stress, boredom, loneliness or a low mood.
- You keep the true extent of your gambling from family or friends.
- Gambling leads to arguments or starts to affect your work or studies.
- Your thoughts keep drifting back to gambling when you are not playing.
Recognising even one of these is a good reason to talk to someone. Help is free and confidential, and you certainly do not need to wait for a crisis before using it.
Which everyday habits keep play safer?
- Fix your budget before you begin and think of it as the price of an evening's entertainment.
- Keep money for rent, bills, food or loan repayments well away from gambling.
- Set yourself a time limit and step away regularly.
- Stay away from gambling when you feel upset, stressed or tired, or after drinking.
- See losses as part of the game and resist raising your stakes to recover them.
- Make room in your week for other hobbies and for time with people you care about.
- Read the bonus terms before accepting an offer, so that wagering does not keep you at the screen longer than you intended.
Where can you get free, confidential help?
The organisations below support anyone affected by gambling, including partners, relatives and friends, and they do so without charge and in confidence:
- Gambling Therapy (Arabic and English support) provides online advice, live chat, support groups and self-help tools, open to people wherever they live.
- Gamblers Anonymous brings people together in peer support meetings, both face to face and online.
- Self-exclusion through our support team: ask in live chat and we will block your Cazeus account straight away for the period you choose.
- A trusted doctor or counsellor near you can also help you find suitable treatment and support.
Worried about somebody close to you? These services can support you as well. A calm, non-judgemental conversation is very often where change begins.
What do we do to keep minors out?
No one below the age of 18 may register or gamble at Cazeus. Age is checked during verification, and any account found to belong to a minor is closed. Winnings from underage play are void.
If children have access to your devices, install parental control software that blocks gambling sites. Keep your login details to yourself and avoid saving your password on devices other people use.
Where do bonuses and rewards fit into all this?
Bonuses, coins, Challenges and VIP levels are all optional. At registration you can pick "I do not want a Welcome Bonus", you can ignore Challenges and never visit the Shop, and every game remains fully available to you. Once you have set limits or excluded yourself, promotional messages stop, and you can unsubscribe from marketing in your account settings whenever you like.
What happens once you ask us for help?
Whether you request a limit, a break or self-exclusion, we put it in place, confirm it to you and honour it for the whole period. We will not send you offers designed to lure you back. And if you choose to close your account permanently, we will do that as well.
Stepping back shows control, not weakness. If you are not sure whether you need a break, take one anyway. You are always welcome to talk things through with our support team or one of the organisations listed above first.
